Description
The Capri Tools Low Profile Ratchet is the go to ratchet that combines performance and versatility. It features a 72-tooth fine ratcheting gear, needing only 5 degrees of swing arc for each turn. The small swing arc is essential for working in narrow spots but also helps you get the job done faster. With a true single-pawl gear design, the ratchet has an unparalleled ratcheting mechanism that is a joy to use. It also allows us to construct the ratchet with a low profile so you can work in more places that have a small clearance. Anti-dust design seals out dusts and debris to protect the gear and maintain internal lubrication for sustained high performance over time. The ratcheting gears works in both directions with a flush mounted lever that you can switch with just a flip of your thumb. That ratchet has our flawless MaxChrome plating, achieved by thorough polishing and careful application of chrome protective plating, to ensure durability and corrosion resistance.Â

I picked these up just as spares in my ratchet drawer and they were such a good deal. Even though these are now the lowest tooth count ratchets in my toolbox, the backdrag is pretty minimal and on par with most modern 80-90 tooth ratchets and in use I can’t really tell the lower tooth count so far. The handle shape and chrome finish are all great. The square drive fitment is fantastic and shockingly is maybe the best out of everything I own, the sockets will sit pretty flush to the faceplate with little to no wobble. The only reason I’m taking off one star is these should not be called “low profile”. They are basically the same width as my equivalent drive size Snap-On’s and substantially thicker than Snap-on. When compared to actually low profile ratchets from Tekton or GearWrench these things are massive. Not saying that is a bad thing just that marketing as low profile is deceptive for anyone specifically wanting low profile.
