Forged Steel Construction

This vise uses high-strength 90,000 PSI drop-forged steel, which has 26% higher tensile strength and 37% higher fatigue strength than cast iron. This makes for greater overall strength and long-term durability.

360 Rotating Swivel Base

The swivel base rotates a full 360 degree to accommodate any job at hand. It can be locked down at any point to give you ultimate versatility.

Machinist and Pipe Jaws

High-strength machinist and pipe jaws have stronger gripping power than other surfaces. Better yet, they are replaceable so the bench vise continues performing optimally even after years of service.

Made of 90,000 PSI tensile strength drop forged steel. Comes with 360 degree swivel base, large anvil, and corrosion resistant black oxide handle. Includes a lifetime warranty. Use this bench vise for all kinds of woodwork, metalwork, sawing, drilling, and gluing things together! Not your average bench vise, this beast is made of 90,000 PSI tensile strength (54,000 psi yield strength) drop forged steel, a large anvil, and corrosion resistant black oxide handle. The guiderails are adjustable to help increase precision and smoothness on the job. It exerts extremely sturdy clamping force and comes with replaceable machinist and pipe jaws. Combine that with a 360 degree swivel base, and you can’t go wrong, especially with the added security of the Capri Tools lifetime warranty. This is a great tool to have on your workbench.

    • CS Support

      It is made in Taiwan.

  3. Jim (verified owner)

Fantastic vise especially with its price. No slip on mech and all parts in good alignment. Serious crunching force over 5klbs. Rotation is smooth and it has opposing rotation clamps and won’t even turn when clamped. Forged steel has beautiful weld job.

After breaking 2 inexpensive vises from big box stores and looking at all sorts of vises I decided to buy the 7″ Capri. The vise is made in Taiwan and forged steel, those were a couple of the reasons I chose these over the new red ones made in China from another company.

The workmanship, fit, finish and welds are excellent, the jaws are true and the mechanism smooth.
I like everything about this vise and 100% satisfied with it, I can see it lasting many years.
It is big, heavy and strong, exactly what a vise should be at a very good price.
My only gripe if I had to find one is the lack of jaw protectors in the 7 inch size, either live with the 6 inch or cut the 8 inch, no big deal.

The 6″ vise has an opening capacity of 8″ which is unheard of in a vise of this size. It is precise and strong with very little take up upon direction changes. Well worth the money! I just wish I had known to wait until double points weekend on such a big purchase!
